God, our Creator, gave specific times for His “feasts.”

His

 ~Holy Convocations/Divine Appointments~

These Holy Convocations are observed according to the HEBREW Calendar which is based on the Lunar and Solar cycles (Moon and Sun.)

Not the Gregorian calendar (Jan-Dec.)

See the Hebrew Calendar (God’s calendar) below.

It shows the Gregorian calendar months in the inner wheel with the corresponding Hebrew calendar months on the outer wheel.

“Study to show yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”  (2 Timothy 2:15)

Gods Appointed times (Spring feasts) were ALL fulfilled at His FIRST COMING.

(Jesus’s crucifixion, burial, resurrection and the gift of the Holy Spirit)

AND

Gods Appointed times (Fall feasts) will ALL be fulfilled at His SECOND COMING!

Jesus in the 7 Feasts of the Lord Bible Study - Overview

In case you don’t know, THE SECOND COMING is when Jesus returns to earth as He promised that He will do.

His first coming was when He came to earth and died for the sins of the world.

During His second coming, Jesus comes WITH THE SAINTS (Those of us who have been His followers.)

“Now may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you.  And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you, so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with ALL His saints.”  (1 Thessalonians 3: 11-13)

During His Second Coming, Jesus will set up His Kingdom here on earth!

SO…

How are ALL His followers coming WITH Him, when there will still be people here on the earth at His return?

“Behold!  I tell you a mystery:  We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.  For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised  incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”  (1 Corinthians 15:51-53)

THE LORD HAS PROMISED THAT HE WILL MEET HIS FOLLOWERS IN THE AIR!!!

Through the CATCHING AWAY!!    (Greek= Harpazo / Latin =Rapturo)

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.  And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Therefore, comfort one another with these words.”  (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

Let’s continue with reading about God’s APPOINTED TIMES!

Our God is a God of order.

He has appointed times for His purposes.

Understand that God has appointed Spring Feasts and Fall Feasts.

As you will see, the Spring Feasts (Appointed Times) have already been prophetically fulfilled!

The crucifixion of Jesus occurred at an appointed time…(PASSOVER!)

The burial of Jesus occurred at an appointed time… (UNLEAVENED BREAD!)

The resurrection of Jesus Christ our King occurred at an appointed time… (FIRST FRUITS!)

AND

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit occurred at an appointed time…(PENTECOST!)

REMEMBER…

God uses HIS appointed calendar which is the Hebrew calendar, NOT the Gregorian calendar.

~The New Year starts in God’s 7th month~

(The 7th month of God’s HEBREW CALENDAR)

Leviticus Chapter 23

(Feasts of the Lord)

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘The feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.

The Sabbath

‘Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

The Passover

and

Unleavened Bread

‘These are the feasts of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times. On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the Lord’s Passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it. But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.’”

The Feast of First fruits

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 10 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest. 11 He shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted on your behalf; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12 And you shall offer on that day, when you wave the sheaf, a male lamb of the first year, without blemish, as a burnt offering to the Lord. 13 Its grain offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the Lord, for a sweet aroma; and its drink offering shall be of wine, one-fourth of a hin. 14 You shall eat neither bread nor parched grain nor fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your God; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

The Feast of Weeks

(Pentecost)

*The start of the Christian church* (See Acts 2)

15 ‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.17 You shall bring from your dwellings two wave loaves of two-tenths of an ephah. They shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven. They are the first fruits to the Lord. 18 And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs of the first year, without blemish, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be as a burnt offering to the Lord, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma to the Lord. 19 Then you shall sacrifice one kid of the goats as a sin offering, and two male lambs of the first year as a sacrifice of a peace offering. 20 The priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits as a wave offering before the Lord, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to the Lord for the priest. 21 And you shall proclaim on the same day that it is a holy convocation to you. You shall do no customary work on it. It shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

22 ‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field when you reap, nor shall you gather any gleaning from your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger: I am the Lord your God.’”

NOW….

***THE 3 FALL FEASTS ARE NEXT TO BE FULFILLED!***

The Feast of Trumpets

(Rosh Hashanah)

23 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a Sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. 25 You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.’”

The Day of Atonement

(Yom Kippur)

26 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 27 “Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. 28 And you shall do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the Lord your God. 29 For any person who is not afflicted in soul on that same day shall be cut off from his people. 30 And any person who does any work on that same day, that person I will destroy from among his people. 31 You shall do no manner of work; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 32 It shall be to you a Sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict your souls; on the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall celebrate your Sabbath.”

The Feast of Tabernacles

(Sukkot)

33 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 34 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord. 35 On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it. 36 For seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a sacred assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it.

37 ‘These are the feasts of the Lord which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, everything on its day— 38 besides the Sabbaths of the Lord, besides your gifts, besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings which you give to the Lord.

39 ‘Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the Lord for seven days; on the first day there shall be a Sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a Sabbath-rest. 40 And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days. 41 You shall keep it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelite’s shall dwell in booths, 43 that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.’”

44 So Moses declared to the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.

It is clear that the fall feasts will be fulfilled at the SECOND COMING OF JESUS!

Study God’s Word for yourself

“The wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience.”  (Colossians 3:6)

Thank God forever that followers of Jesus are promised that we will not suffer His wrath.

“For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.  (1 Thessalonians 5:9)

Remember God’s promises!

“BEHOLD, I TELL YOU A MYSTERY:  WE SHALL NOT ALL SLEEP, BUT WE SHALL ALL BE CHANGED- IN A MOMENT, IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE, AT THE LAST TRUMPET.  FOR THE TRUMPET WILL SOUND, AND THE DEAD WILL BE RAISED INCORRUPTIBLE, AND WE SHALL BE CHANGED.  (1 Corinthians 15:51,52)

“FOR THIS WE SAY TO YOU BY THE WORD OF THE LORD, THAT WE WHO ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN UNTIL THE COMING OF THE LORD WILL BY NO MEANS PRECEDE THOSE WHO ARE ASLEEP.  FOR THE LORD HIMSELF WILL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN WITH A SHOUT, WITH THE VOICE OF AN ARCHANGEL, AND WITH THE TRUMPET OF GOD.  AND THE DEAD IN CHRIST WILL RISE FIRST.  THEN WE WHO ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN SHALL BE CAUGHT UP TOGETHER WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR.  AND THUS WE SHALL ALWAYS BE WITH THE LORD.  (1 THESSALONIANS 4:15-17)

Jesus, The King of Kings and Lord of Lords warns us in scripture to BE READY for Him to come!

JESUS SAID:

“Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.”  (Revelation 3:3)

“But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.  For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.  For when they say, ‘“Peace and safety!”’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.  But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.  You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.  Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.  For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.  But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.  For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,  who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.  Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.”  (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11)

As we watch the current events of our world…

IT IS CRYSTAL CLEAR…

We truly are living in the end times that Jesus spoke of!

So……

Are we ready???

How do we “get ready?”

We get ready by…

First, believing, trusting and surrendering our lives to Jesus…

“If you confess (say) with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your Heart that you believe and are made right with God, and it is with your mouth that you profess (say) your faith and are saved.”  (Romans 10:9, 10)

After we believe, trust and surrender to Him, we then pursue to KNOW Him.

KNOWING HIM

“NOW BY THIS WE KNOW THAT WE KNOW HIM, IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS.  HE WHO SAYS, ‘I KNOW HIM,’ AND DOES NOT KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, IS A LIAR, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM.  BUT WHOEVER KEEPS HIS WORD, TRULY THE LOVE OF GOD IS PERFECTED IN HIM.  BY THIS WE KNOW THAT WE ARE IN HIM.  HE WHO SAYS HE ABIDES IN HIM OUGHT HIMSELF ALSO TO WALK JUST AS HE WALKED.”  (1 John 2:3-6)

Knowing Jesus is knowing and DOING His Word.

“But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”  (James 1:22)

Knowing God Almighty is to fully surrender our lives to Him by placing Jesus on the throne of our lives as our LORD!

“Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.”  (Revelation 22:14)

These verses are not about “earning” God’s favor or God’s love!

They are about being obedient to what He says.

They are about KNOWING Him.

“If anyone loves Me, he will keep (obey) My Word.”  (John 14:23)

The more that we know God, the more that we will have His characteristics.

This is called having the fruit of the Spirit.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”  (Galatians 5:22-23)

“Draw close to God and He will draw close to you.”  (James 4:8)

*BE READY*
